Erica and I opened Plenty’s doors almost four years ago, on August 8th, 2006! Since its opening Plenty has developed a wonderful, loyal, and supportive following - thank-you to each of you for finding us and telling your friends, family, strangers, colleagues(…) about Plenty. I said this last year for our third anniversary and I’ll repeat it as it remains as true as ever: it’s your enthusiasm and support that weaves us into the community and keeps Plenty going. For anyone who is reading this but hasn’t been into the store yet please have a look at some of the friendly things people have been saying and then visit us to see for yourself.

Victoria, British Columbia
By Barbara Kingstone, Indulged Traveller, An online travel magazine for the passionate adventurer.
Not all bars are equal. And not all are the boozy type we’ve come to think of. Some are for ice cream junkies, others go for their latte or frappacino fix. However, when I was in Victoria B.C., I discovered Plenty Epicurean Pantry where the most popular item is chocolate dipped local figs filled with cognac truffle. Now that’s my happy hour. But owner Trevor Walker’s fave is an organic chocolate bar from Spain made with 70% dark chocolate.

Chocolate makes a great gift for Mother’s Day (May 9th) and for Father’s Day (June 20th)!
On Valentines Day, Sunday February the 14th, please join us at Plenty to enliven your taste buds with salt and chocolate tastings!

Michelle Loewen recently described a visit to Plenty in her blog Once upon a time. She was introduced to Himalayan Pink Salt and loved it…
the lady told me she tasted the salt and it made her happy, that it just felt right. i smiled, it seemed strange but some how i knew what she meant. we started talking about salt and i asked her to recommend a good salt for everyday use. the epicurean pantry where i was shopping had a whole little corner dedicated to salt, i knew i was in the right place. plus this lady, she was passionate about salt and i loved that. she handed me a little pink bag of beautiful crystals, it was tied with a black silk ribbon. …tasting that salt did make me happy. it is good and after all it is pink.

Peter Bagi, a wonderful local photographer, recently picked-up some items at Plenty and profiled them on his blog:
Here are some reasons why it’s great to go see smaller specialty food retailers. Supermarkets have a whole range of items but not always the stuff that inspires you to try cooking new things or try new flavours. …
Please visit Peter’s blog to read more and have a look at his photography. I hope to feature some of his food-related images in a display at Plenty in the future.
